About Uantouzhu

Uantouzhu, also known as Turtle Head Peninsula, is a scenic area located on the northern shore of Taihu Lake in Wuxi. It gets its name from its shape, which resembles a turtle's head extending into the lake.

The area is famous for its beautiful spring cherry blossoms, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The cherry blossom season typically runs from late March to early April, when the entire peninsula is covered in pink flowers.

In addition to cherry blossoms, Uantouzhu offers magnificent views of Taihu Lake, traditional Chinese pavilions, and well-maintained gardens. Visitors can boat on the lake, explore historical sites, and relax in the peaceful natural environment.

Visitor Information

Uantouzhu Scenic Area is open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Admission includes access to all attractions within the scenic area.

During the cherry blossom season (late March to early April), the area can be very crowded, so it's recommended to visit early in the morning or on weekdays if possible.

There are several viewing platforms within the scenic area that offer panoramic views of Taihu Lake. The most popular spot is Uantouzhu itself, which provides the best view of the lake and surrounding landscape.

Visitors can also take boats from Uantouzhu to other attractions on Taihu Lake, such as Sanling Mountain Island.
