One of the Largest Buddha Statues in the World
The Lingshan Giant Buddha is an 88-meter tall bronze statue of Maitreya Buddha located in the Lingshan Scenic Area, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. Completed in 1996, it is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world and a major Buddhist pilgrimage site.
The statue is situated on the shores of Taihu Lake, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can climb the stairs to the base of the statue for a closer look and to experience the serene atmosphere of the area.
The Lingshan Scenic Area also includes other attractions such as the Brahma Palace, a magnificent Buddhist temple complex, and the Nine Dragons Fountain, which features a spectacular water and light show.
